Provincial Nominee Programs
In addition to the Federal Immigration Programs, most of Canada’s provinces have their own criteria by which they select potential immigrants. Provincial Nominee Programs are designed to actively seek qualified immigrants to fill labour market shortages, or create employment and business opportunities in the province. Most provinces have programs designed to attract entrepreneurs, investors and foreign workers.
Often a close relative residing in the province who is willing and able to provide settlement assistance can be streamlined through a family reunification category.
International students who have graduated from a recognized post-secondary institution within certain provinces may qualify under an international graduate stream.
If an individual qualifies under a PNP, they will receive a nomination from that province. When approved, the Province will inform the Federal Government that it wishes for this person to be processed for a permanent resident visa for landing.
Minimum criteria and programs available within each province are constantly being updated. Contact us to see if you may qualify under one of the PNPs.
